Help C5 manual transmiision problem!!

Hi, i was driving today and suddenly i can only shift from 1st to 3rd to 5th. The 2nd,4th and 6th gears cannot be engaged. I was having problems for weeks where when i shifted to 4th or 6th it would not engage sometimes.

I would try re-aligning your gearshift lever.
Take off center console, slide up boot and remove floor cover.
Use a T-40 socket loosen the two shifter housing bolts, stick pin in the front to lock shifter and tighten everything back up.
Make sure the rest of the T-40 bolts are snug. Don't go overboard tightening them or you could snap or strip them.

If you have a Hurst aftermarket shifter, check the rear setscrew stop to see if it's worked it's way forward. That'll keep you from engaging 2nd, 4th, and 6th. If that's the case either remove the stops altogether (not needed as the T56 has internal stops) or readjust and use Loctite to secure them.
