Default Having a little trouble need help

About a week ago i started my car it cranked up fine. I put it in reverse and started to back out and the engine died. all of the electrical still worked but my clock was reset. i cranked it up again and it drove fine. When i got out i noticed that my alarm remote wasnt working. The car hadnt acted up since until this morning. i started it up and it died about 10 secs afterwards. Im hoping there is nothing seriously wrong. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check that the connections to the battery are clean and tight.
Check that the *other* end of the negative cable that goes to
the body ground is clean and tight. Even if it looks OK, it can't
hurt to undo it, and look for any corrosion. Failing that, read
the "Important Electrical Info" sticky link at the top of the Tech
section and start working through the ground points under the
hood.
