Sensor Question
What is the sensor located next to the oil pressure sensor on the top rear of the block for
a 1999 C-5.

I believe you are referring to the vacuum switch located just to the passenger side of the oil pressure sending unit.

Cam Position sensor! Nothing on the block is vacuum connected. Only vacuum related componets are on the manifold!

I was assuming that he as looking at the vacuum connection that is right next to the oil pressure sensor under the manifold.
Without pics or some other info, it's hard to even guess - but I like your guess.

Vacum connections and vacuum sensor (MAP)
Oil pressure sensor (tall one on right, CAM Sensor flat on left.
