when you change your fog lights switch from 38watts to50watt bulbs.
to replace... manual raise the headlights; disconnect the lead from the lights; now remove the headlight top panel and the plastic trim that surrounds it. Now if you have average arms you can reach down past the headlights to replace the fog lights. They just turn and pop out, but it is a tight squezze past the headlights.
You just need to raise the headlights (hood open) and remove the black side-panel on the inboard(engine side) of the headlight assembly. There are about 4 screws involved. You should have enough room to reach down and unplug/remove the burned out bulb.
You don't need to disconnect anything! Turn your headlights on, then back them off one click. This will keep the headlights up.
Then if you have small arms, Forunately for me, I don't (my wife did it for me, she also changed my and my brothers turn signal lights),you can reach down and unplug the fog light. I'm a big guy with formadable biceps and I could reached the bulbs for removal myself....if I had to.
Getting the bulbs out was a little tough but she got them. FYI. It gave her a much harder time getting the clips in correctly, but she finally got them. Have who ever does the removal/install, use rubber gloves without powder. Don't want oils on the lense.

If you have man sized forearms you have to do it from under the car....
put the car on a ramp, jackstands or a lift...
remove the access panel on the underside of the car just behind the front fascia. (about 5 bolts), the fog lights will be readily visible and reachable.
Let us know what approach you took. I'm 210 lbs. and found that my arms could only squeeze into the space if I took the side-cover off the headlight assembly. Once I did, I had enough space to work. The last thing I'd try is popping the the splash guards off from underneath, that's more effort than might be necessary.

885s are 50 Watts and won't melt anything.
Reaim them too with a torx wrench. They are usually set too low.
Park about 20' from a garage door or wall and use your headlights as a guide. BIGHANK
Thanks for the input, the wife did an excellent job of getting her hands in there. I ended up having to take the plastic trim out anyway to tighten them, but no need to put the car up on ramps.
If you get the lamp out and find out its still good, it happened to me. It was a bad ground pack on the right forward frame rail. The particular ground wire, its crimp on the wire to the pin was bad.

Just the tranny, you only have to remove the windshield for the side marker lights..
Changed mine about 3 years ago anbd reaimed. You won't believe the difference. If you can't reach them thru the headlight opening you can raise the front of the car and remove about 3 or 4 screws on the splash guards. I did it this way to inspect things underneath.

This was the method I used when I replaced my OEM bulbs with the 885s I got from Auto Zone. It's really a piece of cake once the shield is removed, and yes do use the powder free gloves when handling the new bulbs.
