'Ideal' Performance Wheel/Tire Sizes for a C5 Z - Please Help
If you could run ANY wheel/tire combo to get MAX performance on a road race course from a C5 Z06, what would it be?
I am not looking for tire brands, more interested in wheel and tire sizes, for ABSOLUTE BEST performance.
i.e. 305/30/18 F on 18x10.5 wheel, 315/35/17 R on 17x11 wheel
Please Help. Please include why the combo is best.

I'm a big fan of sidewall, 17x11's in the rear 9.5 or 10.5" up front. And properly sized tires to the wheels, is more important than just sticking the fattest tire you can on there. Typically R rubber is real world wider than street tires, so you can slip down a size (or 2) a lot of times (in width), and it'll fit on the wheel better, and work better.
What sucks with the C5Z is you have really nice OEM wheels (very light for what they are) to work with on a budget without spending big $$ on aftermarket track wheels, but it's hard to find correct, or even close fitting R tires in the OEM sizes.
