My passenger-side window just stopped working yesterday. I hardly use that window, so I'm guessing it's just a stuck regulator. Is the regulator and motor assembly integral, e.g. you have to replace both? There should be little to no wear on that thing. I'm thinking of just taking it apart, cleaning it up and re-greasing. I don't know why it'd need to be replaced with such low usage.

Great thread BTW.
I think you can just buy a replacement motor, but it is not an easy task to replace the motor because you have the drive assembly and steel cables to get back together and adjusted correctly.
I have looked at motors that came out of assemblies that quit working and they look fine. They just don't work. Put in a new one, and it works, so I am not really sure what causes them to fail.
It is much easier to just replace the whole motor/regulator assembly, and I have now done that on both windows of my 04 Z06.
I once thought they quit just from non-use, so I started rolling the passenger window down every time I drove the car. The window quit working anyway, and the driver side window which I use frequently, also quit. It made a gravel noise a couple of times, then it would not roll all the way up everytime, then it quit completely.

I love this place. My passenger window stopped working last week. Like others say doesn't get used much at all. Did the hold down switch and bang method and after a couple of strikes the window rolled down. I was going to take to dealer until I read this thread. Saved $$.
The "Fonzi" method worked for me too.
Turn on key, open passenger door, hold down window button, Pound the **** out of the lower, center inner door panel. Mine took about 10 - 15 hits.
Thanks Corvette Forum, The"Fonzi" method worked again.
