engine cutting out
03 Z06...17,000 miles...1st 2nd gear run's fine...3&4th..not felt as much as heard..cutting out at 5000 + rpm...?????any thought's...thank's ....Gary....and i'm not getting any codes..

thank's for the reply!!...no flashing light's...But how do I pull up dtc while driving...please explain...thanks....all iv'e been doing is pulling up codes after run and get a (no codes) for pcm etc..I also have a Haltec.Bridge with a kN filter,checked connections and maf looks good...also had a dyno tune about a year ago,guy said the tune would last 80,000 mi....tried to call him on this prob...but he is out of business...

no codes
but took it to the shop..they said the noise(cutting sound in the pipes isnt an issue) but they were concerned with the pinging at wot through 4-5000 rpm....could be crappy calif.gas...

Is you traction control on when this happens? If so, turn it off and try it...but be careful, it can get a little hairy! When I first bought my vette I had the same problem and some of the members here told me this was my problem. Sure enough it was the problem. A
