Default Kooks and headers question

I was thinking about buying some kooks, but I was just wondering if these headers came ceramic coated? In my old mustang world that was the "hot topic." Do I want to buy headers that are coated or does it really matter? They are just stainless, is this correct?

They are stainless, but many vendors give you the option for a ceramic coating. FWIW they get kinda brownish nasty looking after a little while, I am pulling mine off this winter and sending them out to get coated.

Be aware headers using cheap grade of SS will change shape under heat and if you coat them that can increase the chance of the welds cracking later on so I'd say do not coat them to get long term use out of them and I have seen some Kooks with broken welds.

I have the same heads. Look exactly the same. I had BBK shorties, with ceramic coating, looked way better under the hood.
