I was thinking of changing my OEM mirors to the auto dimmers. I know this can be done, but does anyone know the procedures and have the directions. Thanks.
If you are talking about the interior rear view mirror, I would be cautious about changing this out. I had an auto dimming rear view mirror in my Pontiac GTP, the thing started leaking the fluid that is inside of it all over the console and shifter plate. What a mess and you can't get the substance off after it dries and the mirror looked like it was fogged over. This is a very common problem with the auto dimming mirrors. Check out this thread before you go any further. http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...de=&s=#3843208

I know it was the Magna Donnelly Mirrors that were the problem, I don't know what the C5 uses, but just wanted to make the OP aware if that is what is intended on being installed. They were installed in many makes/models.
On a positive note Magna Donnelly did replace my mirror as a pro bono good will gesture, but I opted not to install it because I had already replaced the mirror with a standard one and have 5% tint on the back window, so the mirror was useless anyway. Didn't want to take a chance on it leaking again either.
