I am new to the forum and am looking for suggestions.
I have owned my 1999 Vette for over 4 years with no major problems.
A couple of months ago, in the middle of the day the AC and radio stopped while I was in stop and go traffic. The volts dropped to 10.3. After driving a block or two, the AC came =back on and the radio started working. I took it to the local dealer, no codes.
About a month later, it took 4 or 5 attempts to start and sometimes when it did start, the displays would be dim. I took it back to the dealer. This time when they pulled it into the bay, it almost didn’t start and the dash light were dim, confirming my complaint.
Long story short, they said my power distribution box was bad. Replaced it that did not correct the problems. Actually, things are worse. Now my Vette will start sometimes and idle just fine but as soon as it is moved about3-5 feet it shuts off and the fuel pump relay stats clicking rapidly. The dealer cannot find the problem(s) so they towed it to an automotive electrical shop. After a week, they called and claimed they could not find the problems but they claim the dealer screwed everything up.
I’m ready to have it towed to my house and try to figure the problem(s) out.
Has anyone encountered these problems and what did you do to have them corrected.

Battery, battery connections...have you attempted to pull the codes yet? The moving 3-5 feet then it dies sounds like the security system or the column lock issue.
Have you reset the FOB & then pressed unlock? Anytime the battery dies the VATS defaults to disable mode & the car will start & run, but will only move a few feet before it kills.
I had the Corvette towed to another dealer. I checked with a couple of people in town that Corvettes and say this dealer is really knows his stuff. Over the phone, he said he thinks it is a bad relay connected to the steering wheel locking system. After reading some of the posts, it might be part of the problems, coupled with a bad ground somewhere. I’ll keep everyone updated. With luck, I should get my Vette back in a day. Thanks for all ideas.

Try it & report back.
You may want to rephrase this,

If the battery dies totally or is disconected. And you are correct, sometimes it is fine w/out the reset....We see this all the time at the shop, and we have a high volume of vettes go through. 2 weeks ago we had 21 cars in the shop & only have 16 bays.
