convertable deck lid

On my 2000 C5, the deck lid will no longer remain open on its own while putting the top up or down. Is this a difficult DIY?

Not seen that problem before but I must admit, I hold the lid open with my right hand and stow the roof with my left

I'm having the same problem... Has anyone replaced the struts that hold up the "waterfall" ?
Any parts #'s from some place other then the dealer would probably make this an inexpensive fix.

buy new struts on e-bay and put them in - EASY. while your at it you might want to replace the trunk struts. To replace the trunks struts I had to have my wife close me in the trunk - so make sure you can fit and that you have someone you can trust to hit the trunk release when yopu need to get out.
