Default When should the clutch engage?

Did the Ranger flush yesterday. It only took two cycles before the fluid was clear. The pedal still seems low. Where in the clutch pedal stroke should the clutch engages / disengage? Mine feels like it is approx 2/3 inward, or ~1/3 up from the floor. I'm use to within the first 1-2 inches of depression. FYI Previous owner put in a new GM LS7 clutch. This is my first C5, just bought it less thatn 2 weeks ago.

Thanks

Mine engages closer to the top. Probably 2-3 inches from top. 98 Coupe.

Mine seems like a long throw sometimes, but starts at about 1/2 way from the floor.

Mine seems to be about 3/4s of the way up.

Thanks for your input...sounds like there is no consistancy or anything to worry about...just keep the fluid clean.

Thanks

Oops, my bad. Just checked. My clutch begins to engage about 1/3 from the bottom, just like yours.
