Why not magnaflows
As for the Magnaflow, I have it on my FRC and I love it, I wouldnt change my exhaust for anything. Our Z06 has straight pipes (dont know which brand, came with the car) and that thing sounds like a boat in the water
To elaborate, just look at what you wrote. You said you could put up with a little drone. To put up with something is to tolerate it. You can tolerate the whiny kid at your neighbor's house, but what if you had to live with that whining knowing it will NEVER go away, even as the kid grows up? The whining continues and doesn't even change in pitch!
If you like drone, which some people do, then that's fine. But, remember that your new exhaust will potentially be on the car for as long as you own it. You will ALWAYS hear it EVRY SINGLE TIME you drive it.
Just the fact that you are concerned with drone, and that you might be willing to put up with it, tells me you probably won't be happy with an exhuast that has drone.
With that said, if price is an issue, shop around. I've seen Corsa Indy's advertised for $800 or so, I think even by some vendors on this forum that are including free shipping.
FYI, I first went with GHL Bullets, which were reported to have virtually no drone. The key I found out later was the word "virtually". It was indeed "virtually", but it bugged me because although it occurred only in a small RPM range, the particular frequency (pitch) of that system's drone was annoying to me. I sold them within weeks and bought GTR-tipped Corsa Indy's from a forum vendor. No drone whatsoever.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
All stainless is nice too. I had my muffler's put on with tips and everything for under $500 installed and my kit looks VERY close to the one that the other guy posted for $1500!
Good luck with whichever ones you choose but just wanted to post up my 2 cents.
dZ
1. I KEEP HEARING THAT THIS SISTEM DRONES, AS OF THIS POINT THERE IS NO DRONE.
2. I KEEP HEARING THAT CATBACKS MAKE NO NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IN POWER, I CAN TELL A BIG DIFFERENCE, NO G-TECH PULLS YET BUT IT DOES PULL HARDER.
3. WEIGHT, THE HOLE X-PIPE, MUFFLERS, TAILPIPES FEEL ABOUT THE SAME WEIGHT AS ONE SIDE OF THE STOCK EXHAUST.(DID NOT ACTUALLY WEIGH THE SYSTEM BUT SHIP WEIGHT WAS 47LBS INCLUDING HUGE BOX AND PADDING)
4. COST, PLANET MAGNAFLOW $450 SHIPPED TO MY DOOR.
5. SOUND, I HAD A REALLY HARD TIME FINDING ANY SOUND CLIPS OF THIS SYSTEM. AND THAT WAS WHY I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT BUYING THIS KIT. IT SEEMS THAT EVERYONE HAS THE ONE THEY LIKE AND THE ONES THAT ARE POPULAR ARE COSTLY. THAT BEING SAID, AT THE TIME THE CAR WAS ABOUT TO BE STARTED(AFTER THE INSTALL) 5 GUYS THAT I HANG WITH (THAT ALL OWN SOME KIND OF AMERICAN MUSCEL) WHERE THERE. AS SOON AS THE KEY WAS TURNED EVERYONES HEAD STARTED NODING IN APROVAL.
A QUICK TRIP UP THE THE ROAD AND IM HOOKED IT SOUNDS NICE.6. FITTMENT, NICE AND NEAT, TUCKED UP, AND NO ISSUSE
ANYONE LOOKING FOR A CHEAPER ROUTE, THAT HAS A NICE DEAP TONE BUT LOUD ENOUGH TO GET SOME ATTENTION. THIS IS THE KIT
CAN NOT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS KIT.
AS FOR THOSE OF U THAT AIDED IN THIS DECISION THANX AGAIN FOR THE HELP. IF I CAN EVER DO THE SAME JUST ASK.
ANYONE THAT IS CONSIDERING THIS SYSTEM I CAN COME UP WITH A SOUND CLIP
THANX AGAIN, BRETT
