Default Code P2067

My fuel gauge is stuck at 1/2 tank. But it moves after a while to zero and after a while again it goes up to 1/2 tank again. After some hours the needle starts to show full at the gauge. And then the needle slowly goes back to 1/2 tank again. The code I get on the DIC is P1278. Is there somone who knows what the problem is? Where are the fuel censors located? The car is a Z06 2004.

The header for the post says P2067 and in the body he says P1278 .... neither code exists ... need the OP to go back and CAREFULLY record the DTC posted on the DIC.

Default P2066,p2067,p2068

Missed the header.

Not trying to be an *** but P2067 is in 2004 manual.
No listing in the index but it follows in pages after
P1431 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Circuit Performance
P1432 Fuel Level Sensor 2 Low Voltage
P1433 Fuel Level Sensor 2 High Voltage

P2066,P2067,P2068 Refer to problems with right fuel sender
P2067 easiest description is the right tank sensor is sending a lower signal than normal.

Clear codes. Try adding Techron fuel additive. It did not work for me. Diagnostics get in to checking for lose connections, to pulling the right fuel sender and R&R right fuel tank assembly. Hopefully you have warranty I had warranty and they supposedly had to replace both tanks and crossover pipe. Been 3 yrs since new tanks no problems.(knock on wood)
