I'm working on putting my 2003 Z06 in winter storeage. I wasn't able to drive it much this year due to an industrial accident. So the gas in it is two years old. I did put Sta-Bil in it when I last filled it up but I'd like to drain out as much as possible and fill it with fresh gas with Sta-Bil. Tried a 3/8" syphon hose but wouldn't go. What's the easiest way to drain the tank? Thanks for your help
Do you know your VIN or production date?.
There is a VIN break when the new FFS fuel system was
used on 2003 models. Making it very difficult to get to fuel lines. Without dropping the tanks.
Your probably going to have to disconnect the fuel feed line from the
engine. Rig up a bunch of stuff not to get gas every where, find the correct relay location and terminal to jump to turn the pump on and run the pump until it sputters.
Here is a link giving good description of fuel system http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...el+Tank+System
Difference between 1997-2003 part way, they moved components in the tank and moved location of the fuel pump sender assemblies
