Default Help...C5 problems

I have an 02 Black C5 with 35k miles. Here lately I have encountered some problems. I never used to do this but every time i start the car up the wiper blades come on and wont stop for like 10 mins. The passenger window wont let down and the the radio sometimes resets itsself..meaning I can have it on a station and it will be on another am station when i turn car on or if i leave radio on its off when i start the car. Anyone else had any similar problems if so what it your advise on fixing it before i take it back to the chevy place? Could it be a fuse or something?? any responses greatly appricated

Kc

Call a priest, your car sounds possesed!!!

Is there any aftermarket type of wiring in your vette? It sounds like there is some questionable wiring, maybe a short of some sort, going on.

Worth filling out your profile so members can target advice to your car

Is the battery the original. random electrical gremlins can be battery related. has a battery leaked and caused damge to any wiring. AC Delcos are renowned for leaks. If it gets into the wiring below the tray it can cause no end of problems. Worth pulling the battery to check all is well.

I don't know if C5/Z06 Corvettes have "actuators" in them like other GM vehicles (body control module?). Our Trailblazer recently started having weird electrical issues. Dealership said the newer vehicles are loaded with these "actuators" that perform multiple functions...seat memory, windows, mirrors, radio memory, etc.
In our case, there was also a definite wood pecker sound coming from beneath the instrument cluster, which was apparently an indication of the thing going bad.

yes the battery had never been changed ..same one that came with it...if it is a leak that is causing these problems how much do you think to fix the wiring problems?

Those are all history codes as you're probably aware of...nothing with a "C" to indicate current codes?
If everything is working again now, maybe that is an indication of a bad ground.
I wish I know more about the codes...maybe member Bill Curlee will chime in. He's the recognized electrical guru.

Below is Bill Curlee's profile page. I'm sure if you sent him a PM or e-mail (upper right side, "contact info"), he'd be happy to help you.
Hopefully, he'll post his suggestions here so we all benefit.

My guess is your wiper motor is submerged in water. Clean your udders, do a search.

I would check out a new battery.

Does your vette have the memory option ? If so that is why the radio station changes it remembers your settings based on the key fob used.

If you have auto air it will also adjust that the seat and steering wheel.

Does the telescopic wheel work?
Does the memory function work?
Please list everything that does not work or is intermitant.
