my trans is a built 4l60e stage 3 good for 650hp with a 3200 yank converter.the car had a 4000 stall when dynoed but it was to much for the street. i plan on taking to the 1/4 mile on weekends every now and then.

Reason: oops
If you go from 315 to 373, and you are only really driving on the street, is it strongly recommended to replace the stock converter (and if so 3000, 3200, 3600, etc.)??
GU2 Axle, Rear, 2.73 Ratio
GU6 Axle, Rear, 3.42 Ratio
G90 Axle, Rear, 3.15 Ratio
One other way. Drive in 3rd gear (automatic trans) at 75 mph on level ground, look at your rpm's. If your turning 3150, you have 3:15's. If you're turning 2730, you have 2:73's. Just move the decimal over to the left 3 places.
. Or... place your A4 into third gear and get on the highway. At a constant 75mph (making sure the TC has locked) read the rpm value; then divide it by 1000.(This also works with the six speed manual transmission using 4th gear):
examples:
2730 RPM........ you have a 2.73
3150 RPM........ you have a 3.15
3420 RPM........ you have a 3.42 (not a factory available ratio with the A4)
3730 RPM........ you have a 3.73 (not a factory available ratio)
3900 RPM........ you have a 3.90 (not a factory available ratio)
4100 RPM........ you have a 4.10 (not a factory available ratio)
(assuming rear tire height has not been altered from the factory height)
