Well... the time is finally here (along with my headers).
I'm flying home from Korea for a few days to install my brand new shiny LT's. Before I toss my pide and joy 4 feet in the air and dig in... Do any of you guys have any installation tips or lessons learned "the hard way" to share?
Any post-install issues (melted wiring, leaking brake lines, etc)? I heard about the O2 sensor codes in the DIC. Hopefully I can convince the nice people at LG to tune them out for me some time in the near future...
I'll try and update this thread with my experiences when I get back.
A box end ratcheting wrench will be very helpful for the manifold bolts. I also loosened the starter for some more room. It is not too bad a job. The dipstick tube can be a pain to get back in. 2 people will make this MUCH easier. Don't forget the anti-sieze compound.
When you are done, go for a ride and re-tighten the header bolts. I had to do this twice before they stayed tight! Let us know how you make out
Much appreciated... will do.
Does the kit come with new header gaskets (since the stock set up is paper (if I remember right)) and if so how good are they?

If I remember correctly the LG's did come with new gaskets.
The install is pretty strait forward. Not hard but can take a while if its your first time. While the stock headers are off it would be a good time to go ahead and put in new plugs since they are so easy to get to. The passenger side goes in from the top fairly easily (removing the coil packs help)... drivers from the bottom. If using jack stands, you'll need to raise the front as high as possible (raising the rear more beforehand helps) so you have plenty of room to move the header around to get it to slide into place. Once there you can lower the front back down on the stands to finish it up.
You may find it helpfull to unbolt the grounding strap from the driver's side block (you'll see it when you get to the point of installing the header). It doesn't have to me removed but it does make it easier.... just be sure to bolt it back down or you'll have some weird elect issues when you go to start the car.
NOTE: As mentioned above, be really carefull of the coolant temp sensore... the connector brakes pretty easy.
