My brakes were feeling spongy after I bleed them once and this is the second bleed. During the second bleed when I opened the valve on the front passenger side the fluid came out on its own. Is this air that is still in the system? Just needing to know before I screw something up.
Thanks
When you openned the bleeder and the fluid out the second time, did it shoot out or just come out slowly. If it just came out slowly then this is normal, the master cylinder and brake fluid tank are above the bleeder screws so it is natural for the fluid to drain from a high point to a lower point. If it shot out then you may have a different problem.
ABS brakes can be tricky to beed sometimes--I have the best results with a vacuum bleeder--Did you use this sequence when bleeding them
left rear--right rear----left front --right front ??
Actually, that is how I bleed my brakes (gravity bleed) on my C4. Attach hoses to all bleeders, open them up and let them go. Just keep topping off the reservoir.
The fluid came out slowly. I have a 97 and my sequence is different. She drove fine today and I'm glad to feel her wanting to stop. Thanks for the replies.

I've always heard/done RR, LR, RF, LF for bleeding brakes. Furthest from the master cylinder to the closest.
OP, did you see air coming out of the lines while you were bleeding the system?
