Another intercooler/gear question
All, I am considering purchasing a Vette with the performance add ons listed below. My question, could I change the 373 gears out for the 315 ratio withour doing any computer work or editing? Don't know if I am asking the question properly or not, forgive me but I am honestly not very up on the speed end of our hobby. Car I am considering makes 490 RWHP, I saw the dyno sheet myself. Since I plan on driving the car on trips, I would like to get that ratio down a bit. Any help would be appreciated.
Performance mods on Vette I am considering:
Supercharged and Custom tuned,ATI ProCharger Polished Disc & Single Intercooler by East Coast Supercharging, Upgraded Injectors, Kooks
1 &7/8" Long Tube Headers & Kooks High Flow Cats X Pipe, Corsa Indy Pace Car Exhaust System, Super Yank 3500 Torque converter, 373 gears, LS1 Edit, Line Lock, Granatelli MAF,172 Degree Thermostat, MAT Sensor, Upgraded Highflow 2004 Corvette Fuel Pump, Work was proffessionally done by Vette Doctors and Vettech of Great Neck.

Yes! You will need to have the PCM reprogrammed to accept the new gear ratio!
If you do not you will be having all sorts of troubles!
If I am correct that on a MN6 you do not need to reprogram because of the sensor buton the A4's it is a different beast!
I should only be a few bucks when you have it swapped out the shop should have a Tech II or a programmer to adjust the PCM ratio's!
