I used 1 and 1/2 quarts. I could have done it with less but I wanted to make sure most of the old fluid was gone. I purchased one quart and two pints, have one pint unopened.
How much new brake fluid do you need to fully flush the lines and fill the MC on a C5?
Get a set of speedbleeders, well worth the $25 bucks. I used 2 -3 tall cans of dot 4. I also has a lot of 'sludge' at the bottom of my reservoir so try and loosen stuff, then flush a bunch through it. Overall very easy job.
Also, make sure you have a tube for the bleeders so you don't spray fluid all over your garage. I got the tube and bag from Speedbleeders to use at the track. Works well. Mine took a little over a quart, but it could have taken less, but I want to be thorough.
