i never saw any codes thrown w/ friends installs.
If your starting to do more mods to your car... i personally would do other mods befor the LS6 intake.
Is it a direct swap to do this? I've heard that some years there is more to it than just remove the old one and put on the new one. Do gaskets need to be replaced?
You need to install the coolant bypass going to the rear of the heads.
The new intake should have new gaskets. Or if it's a used intake, check the gaskets.... see if they are in perfect shape. If not, replace them.
you can buy it from west coast corvette and it comes with everything you need to do it.... And to the other guy who said to do other mods first, well I am doing this and throttle body and spark plug wires and then doing a full set of long tube kooks headers in the winter and then getting a dyno tune at corvettes at carlisle and then im done.
I got no codes when I swapped in the LS6 intake for the stock LS1. I also installed the factory coolant bypass hose kit for the rear two coolant outlets.
You can do the ls6 intake first, you just won't see much improvement until you do headers and such
I Know when i swapped these out on my Ls1 ,The only Mod i had done to the car was the HalltechStinger, Between the stinger & The Ls6 Intake there was Noticable Gains From The Stock Trim That it was in
dude thanks so much you are saving me 140.00 dollars instead of ordering it from west coast corvette i am ordering it from SLP performance thank you soooo much!!!
