I just got this power duct from a forum user, at a great price.

Tomorrow I will go ahead and install the LS6 manifold I bought from SLP, I still cant believe it was only $411 brand new with all hardware. it pays to shop around.

Hi my99c5vette -

Nice!

Good looking goodies for your car.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts regarding the ls6 manifold.

I intend to get a ported fast 90/90 for my Z, and will then in turn put the ls6 intake on my wifes 99 coupe - so your input would be good to hear.

best regards -

looks good, I'm thinking about this mod myself, I will definitely check out SLP when I'm ready to buy one. please do me and everyone else on here a favor and take lots of pics of your install and post them here! I'm not the worst mechanic nor the best either. I don't like to tear into the engine without knowing exactly what I'm doing. especially since yours is a 99 like mine, I want to know what I'm getting into!

here is the radiator drain plug ( it takes a 1/4 inch drive extension to open )

here is a picture of the tool required to remove the fuel line (99 & up) fuel lines (97 & 98 )

I did not remove the manifold with the throttle body attached, I separated it from the beginning. less weight to hassle when handling the manifold and easier to connect the water line later.

With all the wires and hoses out of the way and the rear bolts taped in the up position, the manifold is ready to be lifted

After removing the cross over tubes, this is the time to clean the area start with a vacuum cleaner. I sprayed carb cleaner on a rag to wipe down the rest

Swap the fuel injectors and rail to the new manifold.

here is a look at both manifolds of the car

Mission acomplished !
