Default Help Electrical!!!

I just bought my first C5 about two weeks ago, and it is a rebuilt title car. When you shut the passenger door only, the car looses its guages, I loose the radio, I loose my window, and it starts dinging. It said "reduced engine power" and something else. The car is fine when you do not touch the passenger door. Also, the blower motor we just installed, only works when you go over a rough road, and the car gets shook up some (a ground I would assume?) I know there are 13 ground points, but could anyone tell me which ground they would assume it to be, and or what you think the real problem is? Thanks!!

There is an excellent sticky at the top of this forum written by Bill Curlee. It has all the info you need. Pay close attention to the wires that come out of that door.

Pay attention to not only the wires in that door, but also the fuse panel, it's on the passenger side as well. You may have an issue with the TAC module. It is located directly behind the passenger fender, near the PCM. I was just talking to Bill Curlee earlier and he was telling me about the REDUCED POWER problem he had and it turned out to be that module.
You may have loose connections there. Check it out. HTH

Wrap that connector with electrical tape to keep it from ever shorting again.

Been there & done that. Wrap the end of the wires at the connector with some tape and you'll be good to go.
