Can anyone explain this... A few weeks back I replaced the gear in my left headlamp motor. All was fine until a couple of days ago when I pulled into my garage and turned the lights off. The headlamps closed but the left one continued through the cycle and popped right back up and stopped in the up position. My wife wishes that something else would pop up and stop in the up position, but that's for a different forum. Any thoughts on this?
Had exactly the same problem. I posted the same question as you and I got a response from RatedX (username). He asked me to email him, then he sent me the instructions on how to fix it. It worked a treat.
It involves putting some packing washers in between the motor and its mounts. There is a kit but I did not buy it, I just used my own washers, and home made pads.
I don't have the email anymore so email RatedX and ask him to send you the diagram.
