Default Lowering C5

OK, I got the rear down about 3/4" so I started on the front.
I cranked the 10mm about 2 full turns, took it for a drive, remeasured and no change.

How many turns does it take to go all the way down on the front?

Don't quote me but I think it is around 20. I'll know for sure after Friday, that is when I'm going into the shop to have some work done, including the lowering of the car.

Then what i did would make sense. 3/4" maximum drop divided by 20 turns would equal to each full turn making about .04". 2 Turns would be about .08" which would be a little more than a 1/16". I didn't measure that close.

Thanks

I only got about 1/8" by turning the bolts alone. I ended up cutting the bushings and got it down about 3/4", much happier. I didn't really notice any ride quality change.

I have the Z51 suspension, if that makes a difference.

That's strange. I have a Z51 and mine lowered a good 5/8" just by turning the front bolts all the way in????
