Driver side mirror is loose
The drivers side mirror on my C5 has started getting loose where the bracket meets the mirror. It looks like just tightening some screws to get it fixed. Can anyone tell me the best way to go about tightening the mirror. Thanks.

Sounds like the keeper above the spring has come loose. Happened to my C5, and it that case, it was because the metal in the grove holding the keeper in place actually tore loose. I shopped ebay for a while, but finally just jb welded the shaft to the mirror (no epoxy is visible) until I could find one on ebay. Seems new mirrors are unpainted, so it's a pita to replace them......
The above will make sense if you take off the reflective portion and look inside the mirror's housing.
I think someone here has a proper fix, but I didn't mess with it.

Here is a fix I used, I found it worked better when I cut the spring down and glued the washer on the post with Araldite.
