Just curious, when does the trip odometer roll over (reset to zero)? I have a US car (in Canada), just wondering if the trip odo rolls over at 9999km or 9999mi?
I think it rolls over at a million and vetts have not got there yet. It is a good question if it resets at km or miles.

He's asking about the trip odometer rather than the cumulative odometer. With the DIC set to metric, at 9999 km it rolls over to zero. Change it at once to English, and the trip odometer will read about 6200 miles. Leave it there and when the trip odometer gets to 9999 miles it will roll over to zero. So, the answer is still "yes".
My 98 Canadian car rolled over the trip odometer at 9999km and the miles rolled over at the same time. So, the above post is not correct for a Canadian spec car. My car also resets to km each time it is started so it would be impossible to switch it to miles right before the km rolled over and keep driving it till the miles reached 9999 (well, unless I did it in one trip ).
I can't tell you what a US version car will do though.
