Default Need help, power steering not working....

We just changed the steering rack with a rebuilt GM rack.

When I tried the car out on the parking lost, the power steering wasn't working. The guys who changed the rack assured me they bled the system per the instructions before they started the car.

I put the car on jack stands and bled it again according to the instructions and still no power assist.

The pump is not making any noise. Any other ideas on what to check?

TIA.

Oh, I forgot to mention this is a race car. I replaced the rack because it was leaking pretty badly from the driver's side boot. After removing it we discovered the bracket that held the old rack to the cradle was busted off, probably from an incident I had with a wall earlier in the year. That's why the rack was replaced.

The P/S pump is a 1st Turn pump and was just installed in the spring of the year, so I don't think that's bad.

You're right, there aren't that many things that could be wrong, just irritating.

It took FOREVER for me to get my rack bled. Literally like 3 hours of turning the wheel back and forth over the course of a few days. Until all the air is out, no boost.
