I searched before posting this so if it's a , I apologize. I just received my slick a$$ exhaust plate that I purchased from another forum member. I won't mention any names but his intials are "Mickbee". Anyways, I'm gonna install the plate this evening and wanted to know upon install do you line the bottom edge of the plate up flush with the bottom of the floor pan or do you raise up or lower it some? Since this is a one shot deal, I wanted to get some opinions.
Thanks

Reason: misspelled word....bad keyboard, bad keyboard
depends on the size of the plate that you bought...
generally the lower you hang it the more visible it is.
keeping it flush with the bottom is a nice way to keep it level...
If you get it wrong you can use some fishing monofilament or dental floss in a sawing motion to cut throught the double sided tape and buy some new 3M double sided trim tape , apply it and repostion it.
To keep it even and level, I wedged a hunk of plywood on the bottom of the floor pan. When I installed the plate, I set the bottom edge of plate on the plywood and slid it to the pan. Also marked the left/right center on the plywood and plate. Worked well.
