I just purchased a ti. z06 catback and my question is "How high do I need raise the rear of my coupe up to do the swap"?
......I did a search and could not find any info for that- thanks for your help.

the rear has to be dangerously high to accomplish this. This has been covered numerous times in the past. I think the actual height is 36", but I'm not positive, because I decided just to cut mine out in pieces, and go back in with a Corsa multipiece.
Have a shop put it on a lift, that would be much safer than jacking.

36 inch high !
You would be better off paying $50. to a muffler shop with a lift than
wetting your pants crawling under the car !
I did it and yes, it is spooky. Had the front wheels on ramps and the rear fascia needs to be closer to 40 than 36 inches from the floor. This link is from 97vetts web site.

Hi...if you have access to a lift its fairly easy..just back up the rear tires to the edge and drop the rear sway bar( just remove the brackets not the endlinks, and the bar will swing down)..the stock exhaust will come right out with minor twisting/pulling, and the catback will be a breeze... good luck!
(If you don't have access to a lift, its not worth the risk..)
My car is up in the air right now. Its not that bad AT ALL.
I've had it up and down 10 times in the last 2 weeks. Just put the jack stands under the rear diff cradle, NOT the jacking points on the side of the car. WHY? cause the contact patch is at too much of an angle.
Also, put a block in front and behind of the front wheel.
The ti. that I bought was cut off at the muffler intakes... can I purchase couplers and install without lifting so high and removing sway bar?....and yes I assume that if I could I would cut the orignals off at the same place.

you better hope couplers will work, because you sure won't be welding it in place.
Yeah, that will work fine, and you shouldn't have to get so high, but you will have to torque those couplers down tight to keep the muffler tips aligned correctly.
