You already have an LS6 intake manifold (I assume that its the manifold you are referring to) so what would you need to change?

Yup, your 01 has an LS6 intake already, LS2 would be a downgrade

Ok my question is: is a LS2 with a 90 tb better than a stock 99 ls1 intake?

Go with an LS6 intake and C5 throttle body, they are just fine up to around 500rwhp

Get the fast 90

Don't go with the LS1 manifold though for sure. LS6 is still good for mild modded cars.

I would suggest the search. But,a quick synopsis is. Stock C5's from 97 through 00 got LS1 manifolds. 2001 and up got LS6 manifolds. The difference in the LS1 and LS6 manifold is minimal without other mods. But as you start needing more air the LS6 will outflow the LS1 more and more.
---
The FAST manifold is very expensive and it's fit and finish aren't that good either. They have a tendency to leak, and are easy to break at the throttle body mounts. However, they flow the best of all 3 and with a good h/c combo will give you +10-15hp over the LS6.
---
As I suggested above, try the search on LS1 vs LS6 and also FAST and you will find way more info than you can get from this post.

Like eurospec1 says, unless you are going for more than 500HP the LS6 intake is all you need

Get a LS6. The FAST is over priced and overkill for you. A LS2 intake performs slight below a LS6 in NA applications.
