Default How do you align the headlight door?

I've done a search and cannot find how to move the door backwards toward the hood. I've looked at it a few times and don't see an adjustment for that movement but I know there is one!!

Anyone help a newbie out?

It depends on how much you need to move it. You may have to move the entire assembly forward. Loosten the screws that hold the lid on and there should be a little play in the clips that hold it on. Push the lid forward while you tighten the screws.

The cover is held in place by 4 torx screws, 2 at the back and one each side. With the hood up and the lights down take out the rear two screws. Turn on the headlights and back off to the park position to kill the headlights. Loosen the two side screws and adjust the cover to get the fore and aft position correct. Tighten those back up and close the lights to check its correct. If so, refit the rear screws and tighten them back up. If the "up/down" position is out, the little white clips adjust vertically to get a good flush fit.

here's an awesome post with pics that show how to adjust all the headlamp door gaps:

Adjust these little by little. They will allow you to move the frame side to side and back and fourth:

Just take your time!

edit---
although i'm not sure why "NONO5.0" mentions not to adjust the white nuts above, i always fiddle with those when i need to make the covers sit flush.

This is weird... I just adjusted mine a few minutes ago and then check the forum out and this thread pops up.
