Default Why so many FOB problems?

Hello, long story, but I'll try to keep it short.
2000 C-5 (were there any other C models in Y2K?) :-).
Tire sensors work fine but all 3 of my fobs will only work for about one minute after they have been re programed and re synchronized. My tech 2 tells me the car recognizes 3 fobs. Oh yes, I have to unplug the receiver and jiggle...the wires, not me...then plug it back in. Now common sense tells me that it's a connection, but I've had it all apart and cleaned the connectors and squeezed the female receptacles for a tighter fit, but still no improvement?????
What's wrong? I can't even get the little smilies to work....must be my "mad cow disease"!

Did you clean/polish the circuit board "squares" with which the battery tabs make contact? A pencil eraser works well.

Thanks for the idea. I cleaned the terminals with a small wire brush.
I'll try the eraser though.
Thanks again.

You have a Tech 2, I'm impressed, that is about a $3,000 piece of equipment, not counting software updates !

Use a corrosion cleaner on those reciever contacts and fob contacts.

Funny that your tire sensors all work but none of your fobs, since they share the same receiver?

It took me nearly 2 years to find one on ebay that had the 32 mg card & I could afford. I don't use the tool as well as a technician can, but I can check the functions, etc.
I used the same electrical/corrosion liquid on the connections that I use on my Cessna. I just don't know?????
