I took my tail lights out (2002 vert.) I noticed a small wire looks like it is coming from around the power antenna runs along the upper rear end,,, anyone know what it goes to.. or what its purpose is,,, Thanks
It looks black and it is a single wire,, it is laying against the body part. It looks like a single wire for the antenna,, Its not connected to anything on one end, the other end goes toward the power antenna,, just wondering,,
There's a black wire that goes to G302 (ground connection on the pass door post next to the seat). There's a splice pack in there also, not sure where it is located. The other wires to the ant are org and dk grn. HTH
Thats the "ground-plane" wire for the antenna, it gives better reception. A sheet-metal bodied car does not need that because the conductive body acts as the ground-plane for the antenna. Yes, one end of the wire is not connected to anything.
