Default New HID lights

I just installed Reuss HID Xenon lights on my 02 C5. The lights work and look great, but now the light covers won't flip back down when I turn the lights off. Any advise is appreciated.

Has to do with current draw flip high beams on and turn lights off with highs on.
Headlight module thinks there is a falt in the lighting system.

Ever since I ...well my son put the HID'S in my vette when I am going to shut lights off I need to do it in two steps. One click at a time,if I just turn the control fast to off the lights go off but they stay up.

just install a 50watt 5 ohm resistor inbetween the car harness and the ballast or if you use a ralay harness put it between the car harness and the relay harness this will fix the problem. PS dont attach the resistor to anything plastic as it gets very hot like a bulb and will melt things i mounted mine to the frame,

Is this a common problem with all these HID lighting systems?/?? as I was looking at a Galaxy system for my low beams.....

Hope this isn't considered a highjack......

Thanks,
Jw

I used the same or similar system as Junkman2008, he has a fantastic thread on the install by the way...the only problem I had was forgetting to upgrade the fuse...no issues at all with lamps not closing, etc...
