Default Help..Memory/power seat malfunction

First time tech. post! (also first time vette owner). I'm not the most mechanically inclined, but I wanted to know if there's a simple fix (or at least things I could try) before I visit the dealership and shell out $$$$$?

I have an 01 Z06, and the memory button is flashing steadily when I unlock the door. The driver power seat will not move at all. Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks in advance!!

There is a wire connector on the floor near the outside edge of the driver's seat that is known to get corroded and cause that kind of problem. You might want to clean that. Just to clarify, does the seat move when you use the controls mounted on the seat itself and does the pass seat work if it is power? HTH

Thanks for the info. Only the driver's side is power and it doesn't work when I use the controls. Would that cause the memory function to not work at all b/c I even tried programming my radio station and it didn't save. The memory button just keeps blinking. HTH to you as well!!

Check the connector under the seat. If that is not connected the seat won't move and memory is moot. Not sure why stations don't hold. Were you able to save stations before and now not?

I checked connections on both the side near the door and under the seat. Everything appears to be connected.

Power comes to the Seat Control Module from fuse #4 and circuit breaker #35 located in the pass floor. Ground is G205 located on driver's door post, down low. Might want to check all 3 of these. Do you have any codes, particularly SCM codes? The blinking memory button is a mystery to me. If none of the above works, PM Bill Curlee. He's a real helpful guy who knows a lot about C5 elec. HTH

Even though those connectors are in fact connected doesn't mean you have solid connections on the pins themselves. They can become loose or corroded just enough to cause failures.

Default Thanks..All Fixed

It turned out my battery needed replacement (hence the power seat not working). Everything works great now. Thanks for the info.
