FAST 90/90 Set Up
First my current mods on a built A4 99 coup.
- 402 forged and stroked engine.
- LS6 intake, 78 mm TB
- 60 lb Moltron injectors
- 98 Fuel rail system with KB Boost Pump, LPE Fuel pump
- Alky Injection
- Z06 3:42 rear hard driver side shaft
- Procharger D1, 8 rib system, 13 lbs boost
- 3000 stall, Protorque convertor
- Blower cam
- 611 RWHP and 600 RWT on 90 degree day.
- Run consistant 10.05-10.16 in 1/4 mile.
I also have some surging at idle that could probably be fixed if I drill a small hole in my 78 mm TB throttle plate but not really wanting to do that. I think a larger 90 mm TB would also address that....Agree or disagree??
Please advise your thoughts on all this if you can...would really appreciate any input...Thanks-
It's probably worth 15-25 RWHP (peak) depending on cylinder heads, exhaust, and the rest of the combination. It will also carry better past peak (power will hang on a bit longer) which will allow you to shift a few hundred RPM higher which will help the next gear start a little higher up in the RPM band so your average power thru the run will be up noticably.
It should get you the tenth and a half or so your looking for....
What heads are on this engine btw?
Tony
PS....The SOTP and throttle response will also noticably improve.....a nice fringe benefit of the swap.
