New Guy Question
Can anyone tell me the day my 99 Corvette was made? The VIN # is 1G1YY22G6X5131599, any other information on the history would also be really nice too. This is my first Corvette and would really like to know as much about it as I can.

You can take your vin number to just about any GM dealer and they can run it for you, I think it is call the VIS, or pm a gentleman on the forum named spongevette. You can remove you front bumper cover to get to the build sheet. Run a couple of seaches to find out exactly where it is located, but it is somewhere inserted in the inside of the bumber.

The sticker on your door will tell you what month/year it was produced but other than that, even the build sheet won't tell you what day(s) it was on the line. I know my '99 was built in 8/98 but thats all and I have the build sheet.

I was under my car this p.m. and found a date on the rear axle cradle in black magic marker...05-28-04...I'm assuming that may be the build date or close to it as my door build date indicated only 06/04.

Found out my car was built 6-10-99 and Warranty start date was 6-21-99 Dealership was OK looking this up for me, but said it was the first time they had ever did it for someone. Thanks again
