Default FAST90 Request for Info...

I would be interested to see dyno data or seat of the pants reports on the following:

Addition of a FAST90 (where FAST90 = T Mamo Fast + 90mm TB)
on a C5Z heads/cam/LT setup with no other changes other than tuning for the new intake. I am not interested in idle problems. That can be fixed.

I am mostly concerned about low end grunt. Is there any loss of torque/power at all w/the addition of the FAST90?
I plan to test the limits of my current cam w/this intake. If not satisfied, I may step up the cam to around 232/240.

My car will be on its way to Cartek in about four days for their 2X package which consists of ported and milled LS6 heads, a custom grind cam (Nitrous), the Fast 90/90 ported, and a 150 shot (I already hve full exhaust). They said I will be looking at about 460 on all motor. I cant wait to see what its like!

Your going to love that 2X setup.

I currently have a ported ls6 intake on a H/C car but am interested in potential gains from a Fast setup.

Not only didn't I lose low end grunt I gained torque through the entire rpm range 2600-6500. Vengeance ported FAST90 LS2 TB. On a H/C coupe.

How much did you gain and what intake were you replacing with the Fast?

Replaced a LS6 intake. Only gained 8 @ peak , but gained 10-15 from 2500-4400.

MCLEOD:
Is the FAST a Mamo ported intake or the stock unported version?

OTHER POSTER:
460 is optimistic for the Cartek 2x. I had their 2x system. I had underdrive pulley, tb, ported intake, etc and no cats. The car was way slower than my 400rwhp car now. In my opinion, it was a dyno queen and in fact was 0.5sec slower than my current car with stock
tb, stock underdrive pulley, stock intake, and cats. Just the facts.

My 2X cam/3X head car put down 419rwhp(tired bottom end) and went 11.44@122 coming out soft(1.63 60') and not powershifting. Looking for 11.00 this Thursday when I really beat on her. 460 on an ls6 is within reason. I plan on hopefully seeing around 450 on my ls1 when I get the fast and freshin up the motor.

Looks like the LS6/75mm is not worth changing below 5400rpm, yet if you want the engine to scream, you need the FAST90/LS290
combo.

JDaniel, my apology about the screen name, I was on a slow computer earlier and didn't scroll back to look.

My car is faster now, w/significantly less mods. Thats a fact and is non-disputable. I am sure they have upgraded their parts over the years, so give them a try. In your case, you are next door to them, maybe you will have better luck. Mistaken you for another user--see you are in Tx.
You need to go see LG!

From everything I've read and seen first hand, its looking real good. The good new is intakes go on/off easily.

Get a ported FAST90 with a ported LS2 throttle body. Tony does both. You will pick up at least 18hp/tq at the rear wheels with your setup.

Our cams are almost identical so I hope for similar results though your zero adv grind would give you more top end power.

How well does your car run at the track? 18 ftlb and 18hp, I'll take that for sure. Was that power increase directly noticed at the track?

I'll to that. I hope that FAST increases the power alot.
Did you add the 4.10s at the same time as the heads/cam? If not, how much ET did they help? I fear the gear because I wonder if I'll blow the tires all the time. I already kill my F1's w/3.42s on the st.

I did the 4.10s when I did the H/C so I don't have before and after ET's with the 4.10s. They will kill traction on the street with a street tire. I can break my Nitto 555s away at will on the street but at the track with slicks...FUN!
