Default Service Ride Control / Reduce Engine Power

Occassionally I get this message and the engine reduces to 1500 RPMs until I stop the car and turn motor off for a minute or two. After restarting the engine, the car returns to normal operation but the "Check Engine" light remains on........ Ive had this problem intermittently but it is getting worse........... I think I have seen this problem posted on here before but I cant remember the solution. Any advice on how to resolve this issue?? Thanks.........

Post the codes you are getting. Press and hold the options button and press the fuel button 4x. You should be able to figure it out from there. Record all the codes and show them here on the forum. If you need any more guidance on how to get your codes let me know!

I was getting similar messages and symptoms. It turned out to be wiring problem with a short to ground in the harness.

What codes are you getting?
