I've never dealt with them (their shipping is too expensive), but do use them to see how cheap a part is and then call Jim Pace Pontiac. They price match and they have more reasonable shipping rates.:D

i've dealt with them several times. parts are inexpensive, in stock & fast delivery. yes they do charge you a "handling fee" in addition to postage, but even with those charges, they're still cheapest. just be careful of minimum quantities on some items...i.e. oil filters...you gotta buy a case (6).

I've bought two headlight motors for my Trans Am with NO problems. They even replied to email quickly b/c part wasn't listed. I will use them again.

I have dealt with them three times and their prices were cheapest on each deal.

Last one was Z06 bars and links, $237 delivered versus $295 everyone else was quoting....

I would recommend!

As a SUPPORTING dealer/vendor I thought I should post an answer to this topic

We add an amount to every order equivalent to our actual cost to ship every order. This amount is equal to the cost of shipping with UPS which is based upon destination, weight, size and value. Our monthly bill for shipping materials, i.e. boxes and packing and our monthly bill with UPS is much higher than the total amount that we charge Forum members. We sell all genuine GM parts and accessories at true dealer wholesale without sales tax. I have never, nor will I ever claim to have the lowest prices in the world. Proft is not a sin and the little profit that we make from parts sales to Forum members does not even pay the increase in labor costs that we have incurred by adding additional staff to assist Forum members. Please understand that I am not complaining and that we truely appreciate our business relationship with each and every one of you!

Again, I will not promise the lowest prices, but I will promise the best service!! It is my belief that there are many more important considerations when purchasing items than price. I doubt that there are too many Chevrolet dealerships who genuinely care for their customers like we do and further doubt that you will find any with more knowledgeable employees than ours.

Thanks for your business and support. We are looking forward to continuing our association and service to each of you.

Have a great weekend,

Ken Fichtner

They don't even have wheels for a C5 or wheel weights. What kind of GM parts site is it anyway?

PAY ATTENTION VERY CLOSELY!!! :seeya

I have never, ever been an advocate of paying more for a part from one place (Ken) when I could get it for a less somewhere else. It just did not make sense to me - this is America and capitalism and competion are what keep prices low. THIS POINT OF VIEW ALL CHANGED FOR ME A FEW WEEKENDS AGO (btw I have never used all caps to shout before in any of my previous posts but I feel they are needed here).

Here is a quick version of the story. My '02 Z06 was getting an alignment done at a local suspension shop I was referred to after turning my stock bolts down 15mm. At 11am (this was a Saturday), I took a look at the "finished" alignment when the car was in the air and it looked terrible. The wheels looked all slanted in every dimension. It turns out the Hunter alignmnet machine being used only had specs for coupe and verts - no '02 Z06.

The shop was closing at noon and they wanted me to limp home with a fu**ed alignment and then limp to the dealership on Monday. Thereby putting about 150mi on my new Z06 while the alignment was wacked.

I called everyone (and I mean everyone!) possible in a frantic rush to get alignment specs for an '02 Z06 - which are different than an '01 Z06. Chevrolet/GM no help - call back on Monday. Two biggest dealerships in S. Cal - no help call back on Monday. Selling dealership - closed. Internet - no luck. Starting to think I am SOL. Finally called KEN FITCHNER at 2pm their time and a very nice person in service (Bob S. I believe) took the time to get the info for me and fax it to the suspension shop. Heart attack averted!

Obviously, Ken will get all my business from now on. He an asset to the Corvette comunity and you should purchase from him too. Who knows when you might be in a situation similiar to me. A few more bucks to buy from Ken, worth every dime! :smash:

I have spoken my peace.

Thank you,
Paul

I bought a changer and wireing harness from them. They had the best price.Had to back order the changer and it was about 10 working days on delivery. I'm not to keen on their personnel, they aren't to helpful. The registration, authorization company they use on their credit card purchases will not validate a credit card with a Po box as a billing address. If the people at gmpartsdirect.com had let me know it would have saved me a lot of phone calls. But any way I got it fixed and got my stuff.E-mail is your only way to communicate with them and they don't really try to help solve a problem, the guy I tried to deal with suggested that I try to buy elsewhere, some good job huh! :D
