Default Reverse lock-out

Has anyone had any trouble with the reverse lock-out. I can shift into reverse at a high speed. It doesn't happen all the time ... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks'

The reverse lockout solenoid has a spring that can be overridden in case the solenoid fails in the lockout position. If you hit 5th gear hard enough you can override that spring.

Default Reverse lockout

I had the reverse lockout solenoid replaced about 2 years ago when it was still under warranty...didn't last...in fact don't know if was really fixed because it happens once in a while...
Thanks for the replies...This is my second C5 and most of the same problems ..except the first was automatic. Electricial and fuel gauge problems but I found that if I stay with Shell gas ... no fuel gauge problems. Of course electricial was a bad ground in the front door area which controlled the front door module. The ground pin was loose but discovered this after the new door module. I also replace the ABS computer and temp switch ..which wasn't cheap. The Partsladi in Florida gave me a great price for the parts and the dealer installed them at a regular labor price...
I am new to Texas anyone in the area with some the same problems..drop me a line...
Thanks for the imput.

How did you get a your user name ? Are you from the Phila, PA area ?

I live out in the King of Prussia Area.

You should only be able to go into reverse when your forward speed is less than 3 mph.

I would check my connections first.
