Default Spring ID help

I need some help to ID a C5 Front Spring, the part number stamped on the sping is 22146483. I've searched the entire forum, but no hits. Anyone have an ID on this? I was told it's a Z51 spring, but I can't Verify.

The GM part numbers for the different suspension springs are:
- Z06 Front spring: 22178729
- Z06 Rear spring: 22188038
- Z51 Front spring: 22178729 (note: same as Z06)
- Z51 Rear spring: 22179020
- Base Front Spring: 22178728
- Base Rear Spring: 22179019

Your number doesn't appear on any of these.

Yep, that's what I got when I did the search, but I swear, that's what's stamped on the spring. Then ends look beefier than the stock spring too it that makes any difference. I couldn't find a cross reference anywhere I searched.

When I swapped springs on my FRC, I noticed the GM part number on the white label was different than the number stamped into the spring. The number stamped in the spring possibly is the manufacturer's number and not a GM part number. Any remains of the GM part number sticker on the spring?

I've since learned the stamping number (which is what you posted above) is different than the actual part number that is located on a sticker along with a bar code.

See my thread that takes a look at ZO6 spring casting numbers and keep in mind that the front Z51 spring is supposed to be the same as the front ZO6 spring. The rear springs of the two cars are different however.
