How hard and expensive is it to repair a drivers seat in a 99 FRC? the seat will not go down in the front.
How hard and expensive is it to repair a passenger side window? It will not roll down, but I can hear a switch clicking in the door, so I know power is getting to the motor.
I do not know aboput the seat, but the window may be a stuck motor. Push the down button and slam the door and it may free up. I had to remove the door panel on mine and tap the motor while pressing the down button.
I don't know about the seat either, but I have replaced both window regulators in my Z06. You can buy the regulator assembly for less than $200 from a forum supplier, but if you get them from a dealer, they list for around $480 each.
If you pay someone to install a regulator assembly, it could cost you another $200 to $300. However, it is a fairly easy job to do yourself if you have tools and a little mechanical ability. The hardest part is getting the door panel off without breaking the fasteners. The rest, you can do in less than 30 minutes. You do have to remove the glass, so it is best to mark its location first, but everything else is straight forward.
If you want to look up a price, the drivers side is
P/N 10344131 and the passenger side is P/N10344132.
