I have a '03 Anniversary convertible with the selective ride control ( Tour/ Sport) settings. I am thinking about changing the sway bars, bushings, and endlinks to the Z06 type. Will this effect the suspension controls, or will everything work as it does now? Will the car handle any better? Will this system work (fit) without any modifications. I just want it to handle a little better. I like the ride control, and my car only has 11k miles on it. I am not looking for a complete overhaul of the suspension system, just want to know if it is worth the cost (Around $300) and make sure that it will not damage my current suspension adjusting system. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
One question:
What's wrong with your car's handling right now?
I wouldn't do anything to the suspension if I were you. I have the F55 on my '04 and find the handling to be great.
No offense Chemdawg99, but mine is a convertible and they tend to have a little more body movement than a coupe. But thanks for the reply.
There has to be more people that have this information. Please help. Thanks.
You already have metal end links, so you can save a few bucks there (they're the same as the Z06 pieces). The bars/bushings will install easily, will firm up the cornering and absolutely will not hurt a thing.
I have an 03 Coupe with the F55 Magnetic Selective Ride option. I switched my sways to the Z06 version and I also used poly bushings. It is an excellent mod that improves handling. I now have minimal body roll in turns with Tour mode and, virtually none in Sport Mode. When traveling "at speed" the stock sways also exhibited a lot of floating. The Z06 sways help it to hug the road more. I highly recommend that every C5 to switch to the Z06 sways.
