Cam handle

Anyone found a cam handle that fits LS1 cams? I have been looking but they say "not for hydraulic" or something else. Just trying to add this tool to the mix.

One of the LS1's longer water pump bolts works great as a cam handle.

Yes, I made two special bolts for this but the handle looks easier to deal with. Maybe I will just wrap my bolts in tape. Just trying to add to my toolbox.

I am getting ready to swap my cam and have been looking for a tool like this as well. What I have decided to try is to get a long (`6") bolt, a couple of washers and a piece of pipe. You will only need the handle for first bit of removal; and the last bit of installation so I think this should work. If anyone has a better idea; please post up.

I have been using two carriage bolts that I ran a metric die down for about 1/2" so it would fit the cam. Threads are sharp though but I did end up with something longer than the water pump bolts.

The cam is hollow so I use a long screwdriver inserted in the center, works great and can be used to loosen and tighten screws and makes a pretty darn good chisel.
