Question about brake lights
I was checking the rear view mirror today while in stop and go traffic. There was a truck behind me with a big chrome bumper which clearly reflected the rear of my Vette. As I would apply and release the brake I could see that my third (fifth?) brake light comes on before my main tail lights. It's just a split second, but noticable. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed this on C5's or is it just mine?

I don't remember on my car but is the center brake light an led one? if so that would explain it. The filaments in a standard bulb take a brief time to heat up but the led style is pretty much instantaneous.

yep the 3rd brake light is LED. LED bulbs have a much quicker response time.
get the halo LED tails and you'll have the same instant response all the way around.
