just went on a trip to fla. about 1000 miles round trip .got home noticed real bad wear on pass. side front tire . the out side is almost bald inside is still real good. drives side looks real good. maybe 8500 miles on them . i hope its just out of aline .but just in case anyone know of anything else . goes in the shop after christmas for alinement if it needs it .
prob a toe issue if its just the very edge of the tire. Have the align shop check all suspension and BEARINGS. one of mine started to have play at 22,000 miles. shouldnt be to big of a deal most likely just reg align. good luck
Its easy to check for bearing wear. Just jack one front wheel, grab the front tire at the 12 O clock and 6 O clock position and PUSH/PULL inward and outward to check for any free play. There should be VERY LITTLE if any free play. If you see any precipitable slop, the bearing should be replaced. Heres a pic of the bearing removed:
Also check the tie rod for free play. With both front tires on the ground, have an assistant turn the steering wheel slightly left then right just enough to see the tire just start to move. While the assistant is moving the wheel, observe the tie rods and look for any slop or deflection in the joint. During this test, check all the A arm bushings for any deflection also.
thanks for all the help ill check it out i do a lot of my own work so i should be able to change anything out if its bad merry christmas and once again thank you
