Default ls6 intake install

Do I need all the ls6 fuel rails and coolant lines when throwing an ls6 intake onto an ls1 or is it just switch and go?

You can use the LS1 fuel rails, but you will need the LS6 coolant lines.

Exactly right. Be careful of the fittlings/tubing at the back of the intake when removing. Also, don't over-torque the bolts. It is a pretty easy job that I did on my Z28 in about an hour and the F-body has 1/2 the engine under the cowl...

Most of the time you can reuse the intake manifold and throttle body gasket several times before replacing them..I recently bought a new LS6 Intake kit from GM.This kit includes the intake manifold, intake seal P/N 12560251, intake manifold gasket kit P/N 12533587, throttle body seal P/N 12552542, map sensor P/N 16212460, map sensor seal P/N 16194007.

Sometimes also I've had to replace some of the injector O-Rings because they can get buggeried up during the swap..

You will also need the coolant pipe set up for the LS6. GMpartshouse.com

Good luck with the swap.
