Exactly right. Be careful of the fittlings/tubing at the back of the intake when removing. Also, don't over-torque the bolts. It is a pretty easy job that I did on my Z28 in about an hour and the F-body has 1/2 the engine under the cowl...
Most of the time you can reuse the intake manifold and throttle body gasket several times before replacing them..I recently bought a new LS6 Intake kit from GM.This kit includes the intake manifold, intake seal P/N 12560251, intake manifold gasket kit P/N 12533587, throttle body seal P/N 12552542, map sensor P/N 16212460, map sensor seal P/N 16194007.
Sometimes also I've had to replace some of the injector O-Rings because they can get buggeried up during the swap..
